About the Saco River

The Saco River is known for its sandy beaches and crystal clear waters. The river provides outdoor recreation for the whole family. Tubing and paddling are some of the favorite activities that create a lifetime of memories and bring family and friends together. During the summer averages 3 feet deep with small rapids and lots of sandy beaches. All tube rentals include life jackets and there are no lifeguards along the Saco River. You can choose the length of your float and depend on the length of your trip can last 2-7 hours. You can float as many times as you want with no extra charge.

Fun way to spend the day!

Such an easy, fun way to spend the day! We've tubed here several times, and they do a great job making the process go smoothly. We usually do just the 1-mile float which is short and sweet with many beaches to stop at if you'd like to linger on the trip. Some of the nicest porta-potties you'll see at the main lot. Fast shuttle out, then you land at the main lot so no waiting for a pickup. Plus they are even dog-friendly. It's a popular, party-scene stretch, but that's part of the fun. Highly recommend.

This was a fun day trip. The people were nice and it was fun. We did the full day adventure and it took us the full day, so don't go on that one if you don't have at least 7 hours. Bring all the sunscreen and more water than you think you need. Shoes are also important, some areas are SUPER ROCKY. Would for sure do it again, but maybe the shorter one.
